I Need A NAP!

I've been trying for the better part of the day to get the disc the photographer sent us from the wedding to work in either one of our computers (My Mac and his PC). No luck yet, but I have one more trick up my sleeve and I'm not giving up hope yet.

I also relly need to get those label jobs done before the client figures I've ditched him and finds someone else to do his work. It's just so hard to dedicate myself to doing it when he's nickel-and-dimeing me on everything! He tried to get me to make a new label for the same price as I charge for revising one, and when I called him on it he started whining about how it's "only a revision, even if the size changes". Excuse me, but when we agreed on a price list, he agreed that a new size, meant paying full price. Even if we've done the label in the past... new size = new label = full price.

So the girls are home from school...

this one has a ton of homework! Her teacher is the one who said, "They shouldn't have more than a half hour of homework a night." Yeah, right! She hasn't had less than an hour of homework since school started a month ago. The only time it was light was when they closed school early for the hurricane (tropical storm by the time it got here) and the teacher didn't have time to write more stuff on the blackboard before they sent them home!

The other one... I got a note from the teacher. Seems she likes to make a mess and not clean it up, and put her wrapper from her snack in someone else's desk, instead of throwing it in the garbage. She's not allowed to bring a snack tomorrow. And who gave her the brilliant idea to try and use her sweater as a jump rope? She HAS a jump rope!

Now I have to mediate the fights (one called the other a brat), get them to finish their homework, figure out what to make for dinner, and finish cleaning the house (did I mention the vacuum cleaner blew up on my wedding day and we haven't had the chance to get the new one yet).

Like I said at the beginning, I Need A NAP!!!

I have to name this thing? Everbody knows I HATE to name things!

Just look at past experience! My cats for example: Coconut (yeah, I liked PiƱa Coladas then. Kahluah (White Russians were in back then).

Now cooking, that's something I know how to do! Just give me a kitchen, and as few as 4 ingredients and stand back and watch the magic. The only ones who've ever complained about my cooking are my kids and we all know how picky they are! Usually people can't stop chewing long enough to comment or complain. :)

Maybe I should open a bakery or a catering business, now that I'm not working full-time. Assuming I could find the time between arranging the kids' schedules, cooking, my freelance work, and my new house and husband.

Oh, yeah, that takes up all my time right now so maybe a career outside the home would get in the way. Maybe when things slow down a bit...
